Starting this blog in an effort to keep myself on track and accountable. I have an exercise history of starting things strong but then not completely finishing them. I'll be following the P90X LEAN workout schedule, possibly replacing the cardio day with plyometrics. I'm an avid volleyball player, and I'd love to get a bit more of an edge in the sand.
Today was Core Synergy workout. It wasn't as bad as I feared, but was still too difficult to complete everything. This is a good sign for me. I'm in reasonable shape -- I walk an average of 5 miles per day commuting in addition to any additional mountain walk/jogs and assorted sports activities. That being said, I'm still carrying an extra 10-15 lbs of body fat. I'm 5'6" and 180lb; my end goal is to be around 165-170lb while toning my existing muscle. I'd estimate around 70% completion rate, but I was not counting reps because I was just learning the exercises for the first time.
Breakfast today: Omelette!
6 egg whites, 5 strawberry tomatos, 1 cup chopped frozen spinach, and a handful of onions and garlic
1 slice sourdough wheat bread with a splash of Country Crock margerine
Packed up half the omelette and chopped up some carrots for lunch
